The room was clean, I always wipe counters and disinfect myself when I stay at places because you just never know. I did not get any dirt from cleaning the counter tops and such. Bedsheets looked recently cleaned so very happy about that because there are places out there that have a reputation of not cleaning like they should. The room was pretty big and there was so much storage.

We like the overall experience at Contenta: it feels like a small, semi-rustic resort as much as it does a mid-century modern upgraded motel. Many of the renovations done a couple of years ago are tastefully done. The breakfast choices-- though limited-- are high quality, with pastries of a standard one might expect in France (and I'm in France as often as twice a year). The manager, Miranda, is also a gem: she always finds a way to be especially helpful. The location-- with views of surrounding hills, walking distance to restaurants in the heart of Carmel Valley, is ideal.

Easy to call and ask for earlier check in to accommodate a wedding I was attending. Also called to get a scary bug out of my room. So helpful!! Clean cute room. Has an Airbnb hotel vibe to it- kind of mid century modern. Old school locks on the door so don't lose the key! Cute outdoor private patio. Easy walk to the hot tub and pool. Gorgeous green mountains in the background. Easy and free parking right in front of my door. Mini fridge to chill my beers. Not to mention the location! Walking distance to so many great wineries and eateries. Cafe Rustica and Cowgirl Winery are my favorite.

The lady who runs the inn was very friendly and helpful. This was an accidental discovery of a lovely location out in the country with plenty of wine tasting venues and good food nearby. The dark sky at night was great for stargazing and it was a convenient drive to Big Sur. we booked two rooms at the last minute due to a change in travel plans and the newly redecorated rooms are well equipped and comfortable. We enjoyed the stay.

I really liked that there is a separate exit to the patio, which has a hot water jacuzzi and a swimming pool. The Jacuzzi was hot even at 2 am which made us very happy. There were also many sun loungers on which you can lie down and sunbathe. The room was very clean and there were enough towels, a working coffee machine and a huge very comfortable bed and a lot of pillows. Cozy room, we really liked it.

What was once a run-down motel has now become a charming mid-century modern design/boutique resort. The setting is idyllic and ideal: walking distance to half a dozen excellent restaurants and unique shops. Sure -- the bathrooms are old and funky, but that -- and a few other quirks -- are all that is keeping this place from become hip and trendy and costing $600/night. Very dog friendly, too. Great pastries and good morning coffee. Great manager. We love it.

I enjoyed a small terrace which was unexpected. Lovely pool and outlook and amazing parking. For once a quiet and efficient A/C. Still the cheap coffee & cups is s shame. Super fast check in. A very warm welcome from the manager/owner and a super housekeeper with long black hair who helped me with my bag as I had a walking stick. Super comfy bed and pillows. TIP - Bring a small traveler kettle, milk, sugar, a mug or cup and tea/coffee. (Fridge in room. Glasses if drinking wine.)

Very quiet and attractive property. Room was very clean and comfortable - not luxurious. It had everything one needs. The breakfast room was very pleasant and relaxing.
